CLAIMS SUPPORT
When a Loss Occurs, the Response Matters.
A loss can quickly become an operational, financial and communication challenge. JGA Caribbean helps clients organize the initial response, understand the information that may be required, and coordinate communication with the appropriate insurance and claims participants.
AFTER A LOSS
Protect People. Protect Property. Document the Event.
The appropriate response will depend on the nature of the loss, but the first priority should always be life safety and prevention of additional damage where it is safe and reasonable to do so.
ADDRESS IMMEDIATE SAFETY
Protect people first. Contact emergency services or appropriate local authorities when circumstances require immediate assistance.
PREVENT FURTHER DAMAGE
Take reasonable steps to protect property and operations from additional damage where this can be done safely. Do not dispose of damaged property or make permanent repairs unless necessary for safety or specifically authorized by the appropriate claims participant.
DOCUMENT THE LOSS
Photograph or record damage where appropriate. Preserve relevant documents, invoices, inventories, contracts, correspondence and other information that may assist with the claim.
BEGIN THE REPORTING PROCESS
Notify the appropriate insurer, broker, intermediary or designated claims contact as required by the policy and applicable reporting procedures. If the client is uncertain about the appropriate reporting pathway, JGA Caribbean can assist with identifying the appropriate next step.
CLAIMS COORDINATION
Helping You Navigate the Process.
Claims can involve multiple parties, documentation requirements, coverage questions, adjusters, insurers, intermediaries and operational decisions. JGA Caribbean can assist clients with organizing claims information, communicating with appropriate insurance participants, understanding procedural next steps, and maintaining continuity of communication during the claims process within the scope of our engagement.

CATASTROPHE RESPONSE
Major Events Require Disciplined Coordination.
Hurricanes, floods, severe weather, fire and other major events can affect multiple assets, suppliers, utilities, transportation systems and business operations at the same time. Following a catastrophe, early documentation, timely reporting, preservation of records and coordinated communication can become particularly important. JGA Caribbean’s broader risk-management approach considers not only physical damage but also operational disruption, business interruption, infrastructure dependencies and the conditions that may affect recovery.
EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE PROCESS
Claims Experience Informs How We Approach Loss.
The experience behind JGA Caribbean includes historical responsibility for claims management, claims administration and communication involving commercial insurance risks and international insurance placements. That experience reinforces a fundamental principle: insurance placement and claims response should not be treated as unrelated activities. How a risk is understood, documented, structured and communicated before a loss can materially affect the efficiency of the process after a loss occurs.
Important Claims Information
JGA Caribbean is not the insurer and does not independently determine whether a claim is covered or payable. Coverage determinations, claim adjustment, settlement decisions and payment obligations are governed by the applicable insurance policy and the authority of the insurer or other authorized claims participant. Submitting information through this website does not, by itself, constitute formal notice of a claim to an insurer unless that reporting method has been specifically confirmed as an authorized claims-reporting channel. Clients should comply with the notice requirements and reporting instructions contained in their insurance policies and communications from their insurer or authorized insurance intermediary.

IMPORTANT CLAIMS NOTICE
First Notice of Loss Should Be Made Directly to Your Insurer
If you have experienced a loss or circumstances that may give rise to a claim, promptly notify your insurer in accordance with the notice requirements of your insurance policy. Notice requirements, time limits, reporting methods, and other claim conditions are governed by the applicable policy. Submitting information to JGA Caribbean through this website does not constitute notice to your insurer and does not replace any notice required under your policy. After the required notice has been provided to the insurer, JGA Caribbean may assist with claims communication, documentation coordination, and liaison support, as appropriate. Coverage determinations and claim decisions remain with the insurer in accordance with the policy.
By submitting this form, you are requesting assistance from JGA Caribbean. Submission through this website does not constitute formal notice of a claim to an insurer unless specifically confirmed, does not establish coverage, and does not guarantee that a claim will be accepted or paid.
Risk Management Does Not End When Coverage Is Placed.
A claim can reveal vulnerabilities in operations, insurance structure, business continuity and risk controls. JGA Caribbean can help organizations use the experience of a loss to strengthen future risk decisions.
